SILVER SPRINGS STATE PARK
Matt and I spent last weekend camping and shooting photos at @silverspringsstatepark (yes, it was very hot). Designated as a National Natural Landmark in 1971, the park is the second largest, most southern National Forest east of the Mississippi. And if you are lucky you will catch a glimpse of the monkeys. That's right— the park is home to a huge population of wild monkeys introduced during the filming of Tarzan movies in the late 1930s.
This was a beautiful park with great RV camping spots. Lots to do from hiking, canoeing, glass bottom boats and more. We will definitely go back - we figure a week would be a nice stay.
