Next week is National Park Week - know where you want to go? We are hoping to spend some time at Colt Creek State Park here in Florida. The Park includes large areas of longleaf pine flatwoods, lakes, winding creeks, and thick cypress domes.
Colt Creek State Park has 15 miles of trails, shared by hikers, bicyclist and those riding horseback. Worried about the heat and afternoon rain showers? No problem the Park has some very nice pavilions available on a first-come, first-served basis. Colt Creek is just one of the many parks in Florida that offer an opportunity to relax, explore the natural environment and connect with some new wildlife friends.
Evan if you can't make it out to a park next week you can still celebrate! The board of the National Park Foundation will be matching donations dollar-for-dollar, up to a total of $100,000 through the end of April. Check out the Foundation's website, they have lots of great things planned for the week and full details on making donations. Here is a brief run down of some of the upcoming events.
